By participating in the Bidbus Refer & Earn Program, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
1. Eligibility
To qualify for referral rewards:
The referred customer must be a new customer who has never previously completed a vehicle sale through Bidbus.
The referred customer must use the referrer’s unique referral link or referral code at the time of registration or before starting the listing process. Referral credit cannot be applied retroactively.
The referred vehicle must be the first time created in Bidbus and successfully sell, complete delivery, and the applicable seller fee must be fully paid to Bidbus.
A referral is considered successful only after all contractual obligations, including payment of seller fees, have been satisfied.
2. Referral Rewards
Note: Promotional codes distributed through targeted advertising campaigns are governed separately under Section 6 ("Promotional Advertisement Codes") and are not part of this Refer & Earn Program.
Upon successful completion of a qualifying sale:
The referrer will receive a $100 cash or gift card
The referred customer will receive a $100 cash or gift card
Rewards are issued in the form of a digital gift card provided through Tremendous (or an equivalent third-party reward platform selected by Bidbus).
Rewards are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. Issuance and redemption are subject to the terms of the issuing platform.
Total referral rewards (combined for both the referrer and the referred customer) shall not exceed the total seller fee collected by Bidbus for the qualifying transaction.
If the collected seller fee is less than the standard total referral rewards, the aggregate referral payout shall not exceed the seller fee collected, and the available amount shall be allocated such that 2/3 is paid to the referrer and 1/3 is paid to the referred customer.
3. Program Integrity
Self-referrals are strictly prohibited. Any attempt to refer yourself, create duplicate accounts, use alternative identities, or otherwise manipulate the referral system will be considered a violation of these Terms and Conditions. Violations will result in disqualification from the program and forfeiture of all pending or future referral rewards.
The following activities are also prohibited:
Paid advertising of referral links or codes
Selling referral links
Offering incentives, kickbacks, or compensation in exchange for using a referral link
Posting referral links on coupon, discount, or promotional aggregation sites
Creating fake, duplicate, or fraudulent accounts
Bidbus reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold, revoke, or cancel rewards if we determine that a participant is acting in bad faith or contrary to the intent of this program.
4. Taxes & Compliance
Participants are solely responsible for any applicable taxes, reporting obligations, or local compliance requirements associated with receiving referral rewards.
Only the primary account holder associated with the qualifying sale may receive referral benefits.
5. Program Changes & Termination
The Refer & Earn Program may be modified, suspended, or terminated at any time.
If rewards are not claimed within the timeframe specified by Bidbus or the issuing platform, they may be forfeited.
Bidbus reserves the right to interpret and enforce these Terms and Conditions at its sole discretion.
6. Promotional Advertisement Codes (Not a Referral)
From time to time, Bidbus runs targeted advertising campaigns (including social media and display ads) that reference a $100 cash or gift code and include a unique promotional code. These ads are shown to a limited, specifically targeted audience and are not available to the general public or to all Bidbus customers.
Promotional ad codes are separate and distinct from the Bidbus Refer & Earn Program described in Sections 1–5. They are not "referrals," and entering one does not create a referral relationship between the customer and any other party.
For operational convenience, ad codes are entered in the same referral code field used at listing/checkout for the Refer & Earn Program. Entering an ad code in this field does not mean the customer is participating in, or entitled to the rewards of, the Refer & Earn Program.
Eligibility for, and issuance of, any amount associated with a promotional ad code is governed exclusively by this Section 6, at Bidbus's sole discretion.
Purpose of the $100 — Seller Fee Offset Only
The $100 referenced in promotional ads exists solely to offset the customer's seller fee. It is not a standalone cash payment owed independently of a seller fee being charged.
If the customer's seller fee is reduced to $0 for any reason — including an adjustment, waiver, or discount applied by Bidbus or a dealership (for example, in connection with an issue discovered at the dealership that the seller did not disclose) — the $100 is not issued.
If a seller fee remains after any adjustment, the $100 (or the remaining fee amount, if less) may still apply, at Bidbus's sole discretion.
Example: A customer's seller fee is originally $300. The dealership requests a $500 adjustment for an undisclosed issue. Bidbus waives the $300 seller fee to help offset the adjustment, so the customer nets a $200 cost instead of $500. Because the seller fee was already fully waived, the $100 promotional amount is considered used and is not issued separately.
If no adjustment, waiver, or discount occurs and the seller fee is charged and collected in full, the $100 is issued to the customer at Bidbus's sole discretion, delivered through Tremendous (or an equivalent third-party rewards platform). Depending on the redemption options the recipient selects through Tremendous, this may take the form of a digital gift code or a monetary payout (such as an ACH bank transfer, debit transfer, PayPal, or Venmo). Issuance is currently primarily via gift code.
References to "cash" in Bidbus advertising refer to a monetary payout delivered through Tremendous's redemption options (e.g., ACH bank transfer, debit transfer, PayPal, or Venmo), consistent with how the platform issues cash-equivalent rewards generally. It does not mean Bidbus hands the customer physical currency.
Bidbus currently uses Tremendous to issue all of its gift cards and payouts. If a customer selects a monetary/cash payout option instead of a gift code, the amount the customer ultimately receives is governed solely by Tremendous's redemption terms, including any transaction fee or deduction Tremendous applies to that payout method. The choice of redemption method is entirely up to the customer, and Bidbus does not cover, reimburse, or otherwise make up any difference between the $100 face value and the amount received after any fee Tremendous deducts.
Bidbus reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether and how a promotional ad code applies to any given transaction, and to modify, suspend, or discontinue any ad campaign at any time without notice.
